HSGBB Plays First Two Games of the Season

On November 18th the girls basketball team played their first game of the season vs. Prentice at home. The JV game started at 5:45 and the girls won 15-10. They played great defense and moved the ball very well. The Varsity game started at 7pm, Senior Lily Truchon won the tip and the girls quickly scored in transition. The team continued to gain a lead and won with a final score of 73-42. Junior Emily Montgomery led the team with 24pts, 12reb, and 4ast. Followed by Lily Truchon with 18 pts, 12reb, 7ast, and 5 stl. Junior Kiley Mueller was the third leading scorer and tallied up 15pts, 7reb, 4ast, and 5 stl.

Their second game of the season was vs. LCO at home on Friday, December 2nd. There was only a varsity game that started at 6:30pm. The cardinals took a lead very early and held the lead throughout the whole game. Lily Truchon led all scores with 31 pts, 8reb, 10stl, 6ast. Emily Montgomery was second with 24pts, 6reb, 3stl, 4ast. Faith Langley scored 8 pts, and Kiley Mueller also contributed 7pts, 3reb, 9stl, 2ast. Congratulations on both of the wins cardinals!
