The POCOHO started a little late with the MSBBB season, so here are all the home games for their season so far. Weekly home game updates for middle and high school basketball seasons are to come.

The middle school boys basketball team started out strong with their first home game on Oct. 28th vs Ashland. Both the 7th and 8th grade teams unfortunately lost but both teams played hard. The 8th grade boys had stellar defense and communication during their game. Both teams are still working on new skills and learning from their Coaches Trevor Paulus and Mike Phillips.

Their next home game was on Nov. 1st against LCO. Both teams looked really good and pulled out wins. The 7th grade team had very good ball movement and 7th grader Tucker Mueller was a standout player during the game. The 8th grade team started the game with great energy and carried it throughout the game. Their press was very successful and gave LCO a hard time. 8th grader Sylas Jardine was the team leader with well over 20 points.

Then the boys played against Bayfield on Nov. 4th. The seventh grade team took a loss 26-21 but kept it very close and exciting throughout the whole game. John Truchon had an outstanding performance with many steals and double digits in points! Congrats to the 8th grade team who beat Bayfield 51-36. Both of the 8th grade boys Sylas Jardine and Dexton Wilcox played exceptionally well.

Their most recent home game was against Drummond, on the 10th. The 7th and 8th grade teams unfortunately lost. Both teams had excellent energy on and off the court. Elijah Ciembronowicz played very well in the 7th grade game. The boys had nice ball movement and played very hard. Sylas Jardine and Dexton Wilcox; the only 8th graders, showed great leadership skills for the younger boys. Good luck in your next game boys!
