What is an academic accomplishment that you are proud of?

Becoming a member of the National Honor Society.

Do you have a favorite/least favorite subject in school?

Favorite would be either math or art. Miss Irwin is an amazing teacher and really encourages my creative abilities. However, I took a college level math class this year and really enjoyed it, which re-sparked my love of mathematics.

Is what you wanted to be when you grew up as a kid match what you are planning to do now?

No! Not in the slightest. For one, I could never settle on an occupation that I wanted to pursue. I remember the earliest career choice of mine was to be a builder (inspired by “Bob the Builder,” naturally). Then I wanted to be a veterinarian, then an FBI agent, and so on. I only recently settled on what I want to be (and am going to go to college for), a therapist. This occupation seems right, somehow, but who knows, I may change my mind again. The world is filled with so many different paths, it’s always been hard for me to just pick one.

Favorite place you have traveled to?

Isle Royale. It’s an island located in the upper part of Lake Superior. My family and I circumnavigated it in our boat several years ago and I have the best memories of the place. It’s beautiful.

What is the biggest thing that you will take from high school?

Memories. Many, many memories. Amazing times with my classmates and teachers, so much knowledge, and millions of laughs.

How would you describe your first year of high school?

Exciting and eventful. A lot happened that year in my social life. The classes you start taking in high school, though, can be a lot more interesting than those offered in middle school. I think that year is a major part of who I am today.

A hobby that you have picked up in the last year?

Digital artwork with a drawing tablet. I’ve had a drawing tablet for many years now but I got more serious about developing my skills with it in the last year. I’m still not very good, but it’s both fun and therapeutic, which is really my main reason for pursuing that style of art.

A goal that you would like to accomplish in the next 3-5 years?

Graduate from college. I know, the generic answer, but my life is really focused on college right now and I think it will be that way for some time.

Best book that you have ever read?

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. Highly recommended if you enjoy fantasy.

How do you feel about graduating this year?

*thumbs up*
