On January 16, senior Douglas Hipsher hit his 1000th point against the Butternut Midgets. Douglas has had very successful seasons throughout high school: freshman year he scored 174 points, sophomore year he scored 314 points, junior year he scored 291 points, and senior year he has reached his milestone of over 1,000 career points. After the game Douglas told us, “I never thought when I started playing basketball I would be a 1,000 point scorer. I want to thank the community for their continued support in any and everything South Shore.” Douglas continues to stay humble, and thanks his team as he knows he couldn’t have done it alone. We hope you continue to dominate the paint, and wish you the most success.
