On Tuesday, April 2, Rylee Nicoletti, a senior from South Shore High School, signed her NJCAA national letter of intent with Mark Movrich of Gogebic Community College to continue her basketball career in the fall of 2019-2020. Rylee will be joining the team as a freshman guard. She has been playing basketball since 6th grade and has gone far as a player since, earning 3 varsity letters throughout her high school career. Her sophomore year, Rylee earned a spot in the starting five and made her presence known. Her first varsity game she scored 19 points! That same year the team and she were able to reach their goals of winning a regional title. Since then Rylee has been improving and working, earning recognition along the way. This season, she helped her team earn an Indianhead Conference and regional title. She also personally achieved many goals such as earning a 1st team all-conference award and being invited to the Kiwanis Border Bash her senior year. Rylee is excited to start her season at Gogebic and be able to earn pre-physical therapy credits along the way. “I am so excited to have this opportunity to be able to continue the sport I am passionate about. I would like to thank my coaches and all of my teammates for helping me get to this point in my career and believing in me. South Shore has always supported the basketball program and me greatly, and I am so thankful for that. I can’t wait to be able to start playing again with the same support, family setting, and home feeling that Gogebic offers.” Congrats to Rylee Nicoletti and good luck with her career at Gogebic!
