This is the second year South Shore art students participated in the memory project. This year the 5th, 6th, and 7th graders participated in the project. The students received 40 portraits of children from the Philippines. The classes studied the portraits and began to draw the picture they received. They also included a message on the back telling the child their First name, age, and favorite color and told them they were happy to create the portrait. The students are looking forward to seeing a video of the children receiving their pictures this spring.
