Global X Project 2018-19

On Friday, December 7th, 15 South Shore Elementary students had the opportunity to attend the Global X kickoff event at CESA 12 in Ashland.  Global X is a Gifted and Talented grant funded project. The goal of the program is to increase students’ global awareness and foster their leadership skills while researching and planning international projects.  Students that attended the event will help lead cultural enrichment projects at South Shore. Our students learned they will be communicating with students in Egypt and Zimbabwe this year. They are excited to research each country and learn all they can about its culture.  The students will exchange video chats with students in both countries. The students are also excited about sharing their learning with our community. They will be planning a fun, educational event which will take place in the spring.
