Outdoor Learning Work Day

Outdoor+Learning+Work+Day

Aurora Grant, Director of Photography

Over 24 volunteers (parents, students, and community members) came together on Saturday, October 27, 2018, for a successful work day in the outdoor learning space. The volunteers generously and enthusiastically donated their time & energy to help clear brush from the learning space, hang some really cool sun shades to further define the space, and begin clearing a new nature trail.  This trail will connect the outdoor learning space to the rain garden.  They also added new seating.  Thanks to Gracelynn Lovejoy, Sarena Kobie, & Mr. Truchon, students now have beautifully crafted benches to sit on outside in the space while listening to stories or learning new lessons.

Mrs. McKnight and Mrs. Suo would like to thank the volunteers that worked so hard to create this magical space. Also, thank you to the South Shore Education Foundation for their grant funding and generous support of the outdoor learning space project.
