On October 4th, the freshman class was brought by Mr. Tribys on the annual field trip to the Brule River State Forest. The trip started with the class mapping out the After Hours Ski Trails. The class split up in groups to use compasses and their paces to make their maps. After the mapping was finished the class took a break for lunch then traveled to Sugar Loaf Hill. As the class hiked up the hill, they stopped and visited the Percival Mine shaft. They then continued their hike and took a break at the summit to enjoy the view. After the hike at Sugar Loaf Hill, the class traveled to Mays Ledges. Luckily the river was calm enough for bedrock to be showing so the students could explore.
