Every year, WSN showcases some outstanding achievements made by seniors. There are five categories, point guard, wing, post, defense, and shooter. These are given to student-athletes based on coaches input, WSN player stats, all-conference awards, and player evaluation. This is a big achievement considering that the winners and nominates are from the whole entire state of Wisconsin.

The list starts out as 40-60 players on each award subject. This is called a watch list. They are then narrowed down to Semi-Finalists. Then when it comes playoff time, the Finalists will be picked. We are hoping Shauna will make this slim list of five. Then during the state tournament, the winner will be chosen. Kavajecz, who was surprised of this event, states how surprised she was, “I was not aware of being on this watch list. This is a great opportunity and I am very appreciative for it.”

This is just another big step on her career to success. We wish her the best of luck on the rest of her journey!
