As everyone knows, the 2015-16 girls basketball team lost three conference games, including the one to determine the champions. It was quite a heartbreak, but this year the returning players are up and at it to pull out a championship. Most of the team has bonded over the summer and played against the other conference teams in the Northland College summer league. Their record has shown how much they improved.

On Friday the 2nd , the team took the floor hoping to win their first conference game against Ironwood. They succeeded and learned some new things they need to improve on. They then went to Mellen on Tuesday Dec. 6th , and took home another win. They are now 2-0 in the Indianhead conference and 2-1 overall. All of the players and coaches are proud of how they started out the season and can not wait to continue in hopes of taking home a conference win and furthering on.

The girls will take on Mercer hoping for another conference win on Friday Dec. 9th. This will be a double header with the boys playing first at 5:45 and the girls at 7:00. We hope to see you on our home court cheering the teams on!
