Red vs. White Scrimmage
Not Today! A photo from last year’s Red vs. White scrimmage.
November 10, 2016
On Tuesday, November 15th South Shore is having their 4th annual Red vs. White scrimmage to raise money for the basketball teams. It will take place at the Herbster gym. The scrimmage starts off the high school basketball seasons, letting everyone get the real game feel. Both of the girl’s team and the boy’s team play. The coaches split up the teams as evenly as possible to make the games interesting. The night will be full of all kinds of fun! During halftime of the girls vs. girls game audience members are invited to participate in free throws for soda. Between the games there will be a boys vs. girls three-point shootout. The boys game will also include some fun during their halftime. There will be a thirty second shootout.
The girls game will start at 6:00 p.m. The girls started practice on November 7th, giving them just over a week to practice before the scrimmage. The girl’s teams will be decided on Monday, the day before the scrimmage. Coach Truchon is going to coach one girls team. Tiberg is going to coach the other girls team.
The boys game will start at 7:00 p.m. The boys will start practice the day before the scrimmage. It is going to be interesting to see how well they work as a team, knowing that they will only get two practices together. It will also be interesting seeing how even the teams are with not knowing everyone’s skills.
Come to the Herbster gym on Tuesday night to support the South Shore basketball teams. You get to watch exciting games and there is fun for all ages.
