School might be out for the summer, but for two athletes on the track team, hard work and effort paid off in the form of a trip to state!  Congratulations to Alyssa Kavajecz, a senior and Tristin Wilcox, a sophomore, who are traveling with Coach Marincel and Coach Tiberg to state on Thursday, June 2, 2016.  Alyssa will be competing in the high jump and Tristin will be competing in the long jump and triple jump.  “A very young team that accomplished a lot, and with the youth in the program great things are still to come,” said Coach Marincel, of his teams season.

Alyssa Kavajecz won the 800 m dash & Tristin Wilcox placed 2^nd in the triple jump

@ Ladysmith Invitational –

Alyssa Kavajecz won the high jump, Adam Ranta won the long jump & Tristin Wilcox won the triple jump

@ Drummond –

Alyssa Kavajecz broke the school record in high jump, clearing 5’4”; girls team won the meet & boys team placed third

@ Chequamegon –

Tristin Wilcox placed first in triple jump, jumping over 40’, Alyssa won the high jump, Andrew Johnson threw shot 35’2”, a personal best for him

@ Kramer Invitational –

Girls placed third and the boys placed 4^th out of ten teams

4×800 girls broke school record; girls won the meet & boys placed third

@ Welker Invitational –

Tristin Wilcox won the triple jump, Alyssa Kavajecz on the high jump & girls placed 2^nd as a team

@ Marcy Bracket Invitational  –

Alyssa Kavajecz won 4 events, girls team won the meet & the boys team placed 3^rd

@ Ironwood Conference Meet – Conference Champs:
