First grade students at South Shore expanded their typing skills by writing a short story  about an owl named Spike. The students worked  together to decide what animal to write about and what to name him. Once they typed their story, they went online to find an owl for their story. Some students chose snow owls and some found images of barn owls. One student even found a baby owl and made sure he had  a friend. They were all very proud of their stories and shared them with Mrs.Moe, one of the cooks, on their way back to the classroom.  She said “Thanks for sharing!  You really made my day!”
