America’s Best High Schools Award

Americas+Best+High+Schools+Award

Clendon Gustafson, District Administrator

South Shore High School has received a prestigious national award this fall.  South Shore has been listed in the U.S. News and World Report as receiving a bronze award for America’s Best High Schools.  This is an amazing honor. Over 29,000 schools across America were judged, based upon a number of elements including test scores and how well these schools are preparing students for college. The top 6,517 schools in the nation (from the pool of 29,000 schools) were selected for gold, silver, or bronze awards.
We are very proud of South Shore High School for achieving this excellent award.   The current result is a school that has been nationally recognized as being excellent.  Clendon Gustafson, superintendent at South Shore, said,  “I always knew that the South Shore School District was fantastic, always going the extra mile to help boost its students to do the best that they can do. Our students, staff, parents, and community members have worked very diligently through the years and it is nice to have our school honored with this award. I would also like to thank the South Shore Education Foundation for their ongoing support. They even went so far as to provide the district with some banners and a plaque, which proclaims the award.”
Once again, congratulations to the students, staff, parents, and community members for this great honor!
