It is that time of the year again. The high school boys and girls are picking up their basketballs again in preparation for the season to come. To get a head start on the season, some of the players meet up after school for an open gym. Practice for the girls basketball team starts on November 9th, while the boys starts on the 16th of November. The annual Red and White Scrimmage will take place on November 17th at the Herbster gym, at 5 o’clock p.m. It is a fun event where the boys and girls dress up in the school’s old uniforms and battle it out. The night consists of a boys game, a girls game, and a 3 point shoot out. The girls team also has a scrimmage at home against Washburn and Duluth Marshall on November 20th. The boys team has a scrimmage in Washburn November 24th. Wear your red and white, bring all your cardinal pride, and come support our basketball teams!
