Mark your calendars! On January 24, 2015, the South Shore high school band will be hosting a Cajun Fest at the school in order to raise funds for their upcoming band trip to New Orleans! Dinner will be from 4:30-6:30 pm, with food options of either Blackened Chicken with Ravigote or Steamed Fish. There is also Sausage Gumbo, Beans and Rice, Cornbread, Bananas Foster over Pound Cake, and Praline Pecans for side dishes! Coffee, Milk, and Cajun Punch will be available for drink options, and the overall cost is $15 for adults and $8 for students. During and after dinner, a Silent Auction will take place, which ends at 6:45 pm. Starting at 5:00 pm and ending at 6:45 pm, live music will be in the air, along with some of the band students’ music for a few side performances! Come enjoy the fest, and help support the South Shore high school Band!! Tickets can be purchased from the band students.
