A Successful Drive Once Again!
December 3, 2014
On December 2nd the National Honors Society hosted a blood drive with Memorial Blood Center. The blood drive started at 10:00 am and went until 2:00 pm. It was very successful with twenty-nine units of blood being collected in all. The community was a huge part of what made it successful and six students at South Shore donated as well. Memorial Blood Center would like to remind everyone that donated blood is essential in saving lives all over America and anyone may need a blood transfusion at some point in their life. They also want everyone to remember that although 38% of Americans can donate blood only 7% do and if you are healthy to please find a local donation center. You can save up to three lives with each donation!
